Kohl Kimoto has been playing piano and singing since the age of eight. At age 14 he picked up his first guitar. Being forced by his mother to play the piano, at the age of 16 he began writing his own songs and began to develop a deep love for music. Realizing the skill he had acquired of the pervious years, he was suddenly grateful for his mothers persistence. The rest is history. Kohl has been performing since his beginnings with music and has played various venues throughout Utah and Nevada. He has attended both Utah State's Caine College of the Arts and Berklee College of Music in Boston. Kohl has found great influence in jazz and pop music, fusing the two together in many of his songs. He is currently playing in the band Blackford Blues as lead singer/songwriter.
