Cache Valley is full of people doing remarkable things. Most of them will never ask for recognition.
Community Gem is our way of changing that. Each episode, we sit down with someone in this valley who is making it a better place, and we let their story do the talking.

Community Gem: Lisa Schmuhl
Lisa Schmuhl has a deep love for Cache Valley and the greater Logan, Utah area, where family roots and community values are an important part of her story. She currently serves as Chair of the America 250 Smithfield Committee, helping lead local efforts to celebrate 250 years of American history through the theme “Together in Freedom.” Inspired by a lifelong love of country and family members who served in the military, Lisa works alongside dedicated volunteers to bring patriotic events, cultural celebrations, military tributes, and music to the community. She is grateful for the opportunity to help honor America’s history while encouraging unity, service, and patriotism throughout Cache Valley.
